ICON - Web Team

The web development team was formed in June 2005 with the purpose of putting together a long cherished dream of having a website for the ICON community. Since then the team has been involved in designing a layout, working on a logo, gathering content, designing sections and various other details for the website. We are grateful to Redfeather Branding Solutions for providing the technical web page design and layout for the website.

A dedicated young man from Tampa, Florida, USA. He has a good background in html and has worked on several good websites previously. He is working on gathering content on several sections like Church History, Catholicate,St.Thomas, Holy Synod among others. Jason was also involved in the initial research and design for the template, layout and logo for the website. Jason also handles the news section and has contributed many links and resources for the website.

Babu Daniel lives with his family in Mumbai, India. He has been involved in collecting contacts and other information about the Mumbai diocese among other things. Several photographs taken by Babu Daniel have been used in the website. Babu Daniel was also instrumental in getting the contact of Sanjay E.S. from Redfeather Branding Solutions which helped us to get a good web page design at an affordable rate.

Suraj Iype is a knowledgable young man who contributes actively on ICON, now working in Secunderabad in India. Suraj has contributed in the Liturgy, Creed and other sections on the website.

Mathew Samuel is a software professional working currently in Albany, NY. He has been involved mostly in content aggregation, co-ordination and uploading responsibilities on the ICON website.

Other than the above, there are the ICON Moderators and other volunteers who also work actively on the design and development of the website.

We're indebted to the members of the clergy and senior friends who contribute weekly in our Devotional Thoughts section catalogued at the website. We also are grateful to several of our clergy members who contribute as consultants and provide advice and guidance especially on matters of faith.

All the team members are actively involved in reviewing the content, and making comments and suggestions about the design and future growth of the website. Even though most of the team members have not met each other personally, there is regular and frequent communication via emails which facilitate a smooth functioning of the tasks among this global team.

Besides, the entire family of ICON members form the rest of the team helping to build the website. Several messages from ICON are archived on the website while others are referenced via links from the website. We also value the feedback and suggestions from the members and users of the website so that we can put together more efforts to improve the site and keep working towards making the website a comprehensive datastore for information about our church and our community, as well as an exhaustive reference source for the Oriental Orthodox faith.
